Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Settilo LLC neighborhood analytics platform (the "Service"). This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. Lawful Use Only

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all laws applicable to you.

2. Prohibited Activities

2.1 Discriminatory and Regulated Uses

  • Using the Service or any data obtained from the Service for any purpose that violates the Fair Housing Act, civil rights laws, or any anti-discrimination statute.
  • Using the Service for any purpose regulated under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), including credit, insurance, employment, or tenant screening decisions.
  • Using the Service to engage in housing discrimination, steering, blockbusting, or redlining.

2.2 Data Misuse

  • Scraping, crawling, indexing, or using automated tools (bots, spiders, etc.) to access, download, or extract data from the Service without our express written permission.
  • Systematically downloading, storing, or redistributing our reports, data, or analytics for commercial purposes.
  • Reselling, sublicensing, or white-labeling our reports or analytics without prior written agreement.
  • Using our data to build or train competing products, services, or machine learning models.
  • Aggregating our data with third-party datasets for redistribution or sale.

2.3 Security Violations

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other user accounts, or related systems and networks.
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
  • Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or any malicious code.
  • Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Service without authorization.
  • Circumventing or attempting to circumvent security features, rate limits, or access controls.

2.4 Misrepresentation

  • Creating false accounts or providing false or misleading registration information.
  • Impersonating another person, entity, or Settilo LLC employee.
  • Misrepresenting our reports as official government documents, professional appraisals, or consumer reports.
  • Presenting modified versions of our reports as original Settilo LLC products.

2.5 Abuse and Harmful Conduct

  • Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users or our staff.
  • Posting or transmitting harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content.
  • Using the Service to stalk, dox, or invade the privacy of any individual.
  • Engaging in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the Service.

3. Rate Limits and Fair Use

To ensure fair access for all users, we may impose limits on the number of requests, searches, and report generations within a given time period. Automated or excessive use that degrades Service performance for others is prohibited. If you require higher usage limits for legitimate business purposes, please contact us to discuss enterprise options.

4. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to us at [email protected]. We investigate all reports and take appropriate action.

5. Consequences of Violation

Violations of this AUP may result in:

  • A warning notice with a request to cease the prohibited activity
  • Temporary suspension of your account
  • Permanent termination of your account without refund
  • Removal of content or data you have submitted
  • Legal action, including claims for damages and injunctive relief

We reserve the right to report violations to appropriate law enforcement authorities where we believe illegal activity has occurred.

6. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify this AUP at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
